S unday, January 26, 2014, in the Transfiguration of the Lord Temple, after completion of the Divine Liturgy, the clergy and the faithful had the joint prayer to Our Lord Jesus Christ. They asked for the protection for Ukraine from all visible and invisible enemies, to stop the bloodbathiness and fratricide, to stop using the weapons against people, to save free, impartiable and independent Ukraine. They asked the Lord with humility to heal the hearts that are breaking with pain because of injustice, because of losses of close people, because of demolition of the human honor and dignity. They begged God to forgive His unwise children and all free and forced, conscious and unconscious faults, to clean their hearts from hatred, anger and other weaknesses, but to consolidate in the hearts of the Ukrainian people the love to their Motherland, to send them peace and harmony for ever and ever.
Oh Great God, the Almighty! We are Your sinners, in obedience of our hearts we come to You and we bow our heads. God Father! Forgive our faults and the faults of our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers . We beg You today accept our sincere prayer and thanksgiving for Your boundless mercy to us. Listen to our prayers and accept the pleadings of our hearts. Bless our Motherland Ukraine, give it good fate and happiness. Our Merciful Lord, give Your blessing to all who asks You for the help. We beg You, Oh God, for our brothers and sisters, for widows, for orphans, for the maimed and disabled, and for those who needs Your mercy and care. Unite us all in one great family of Christ that all people like brothers could glorify Your great name always, now and forever. Amen.
