April 17, 2011, in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, Oleksandr, Bishop of Zhytomyr and Vasyliy, Bishop of Fastiv concelebrated the Holy Divine Liturgy dedicated to the Entry of Lord into Jerusalem.

With the entry into Jerusalem, Lord entered the path of the suffering being in His earthly glory and He knew what would happen in the following six days, what dishonor, slander and incredible tortures He would experience for the sake of humanity. And we greet again the Savior with the green branches, which we carry to the temple. But, first of all, we greet Him in our souls and in our hearts, exclaiming: "Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!" As God shows a way, a different one for each of us, but the only that leads to the one goal. For this sake He came to the Earth and sacrificed Himself and became for each conscious Christian the open doors of the salvation, behind which the Kingdom of God that is waiting for us.
