On the Orthodox New Year, 13th of January, 2011 in the Temple of Transfiguration of Lord of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, church service and the sanctification of kutia - traditional Ukrainian dish, took place.

After the holiday meal the clergy and the faithful congratulated the winner of the competition for the best kutia, sang traditional carols of this day and congratulated each other on the New Year according to the Julian calendar, wishing joy, happiness and protection of Lord to their families in the New Year.
